Curro Academy Pretoria has a position available for an Administrator

Minimum Requirements
    • Cash books
      • Only give feedback to Shared Services Clerk at Head office on correct allocations
      • School Administrator to send all debit card slips on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for Shared Services to capture the info and update Evolution
    • Cashbook reconciliation – weekly and monthly
      • To meet the deadline for cashbook recons the Administrator at the school needs to ensure that all debit card / credit card transaction slips are coded and forwarded to the Shared Service clerk for processing
    • Capitec Card cashbook
      • Administrators to forward the Capitec excel summary, slips and Capitec day end report to the Shared Services clerk for processing
    • Petty Cash
      • Managing petty cash as per policy
      • Processing of expenses on a weekly basis on an excel sheet to send to Shared Services at Head office
      • Ensuring that cash book balance to actual cash
    • Suppliers
      • Ensure that supplier invoices comply to claim VAT
      • Forwarding supplier invoices to head office Shared Services for capturing and paying
      • Liase with suppliers wrt statements and invoices
    • Creditors – 30 days and sundry
      • Administrators to ensure invoices for payment is sent to the Shared Services clerk daily
      • All expenses must be allocated a budget expense ledger account which is accounting correct
    • Payments
      • Administrators do not process any payments only petty cash expenses at the school
    • Debtors
      • Maintain accurate debtor accounts
      • Send correcting journal batches to Shared Services Head office
      • On a weekly basis clear the 101WAG account and follow up on un known deposits
      • Submission of monthly billing information to ensure correct billing of school fees and any additional income streams to Head office
      • Update monthly debit orders on Synergy
      • Manage the pending and the approved list on Synergy
      • Resolving any queries received from parents
    • Financial Policies control
      • Ensure that financial policies are adhered to throughout the school
    • Adhoc administrative tasks as requested by Executive Head
    • Adhoc learner related administrative tasks as requested by Executive Head



    • At least grade 12 with grade 12 accounting
    • Accounting diploma but relevant accounting experience is more important



    • At least 3 years in an admin role & some finance background
    • Previous school environment environment not essential but an advantage



  • Not required but helpful: Evolution
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Detail orientated
  • Approachable and calm


  • Complete administration tasks on time
  • Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
  • Ensure office is clean and presentable at all times
  • Meet deadlines
