IOA is inviting applications from students in higher education across the country to volunteer as Voices Unite Student Ambassadors for our Voices Unite youth initiative. Applicants should have a passion for South Africa and youth development, and have a deep interest in being part of a game-changing project and movement that aims to revolutionise youth development efforts in the country.
The role of Student Ambassadors includes (but is not limited to):
· Working remotely with the IOA Voices Unite team on promotional activities and events
· Assisting with the coordination of student participation on the platform
· Working with like-minded students on campuses across the country
· Engaging and sharing Voices Unite content on social media
· Being involved in various elements of research covering a wide range of topics
Why should you join?

· Work with other like-minded students across South Africa through the Voices Unite platform

· Able to work in and manage a team
· Self-motivator and deadline-driven
· Active on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.)
· Young people already working with their communities and/or on youth development will be at an advantage

Introduction to Voices Unite
IOA is heading up a ground-breaking youth-focused youth research platform in South Africa called
Voices Unite. This digital platform launched on 10 February 2020 with various partners around the country, such as tertiary institutions (e.g. University of Johannesburg), corporates (e.g. Sanlam) and non-profits (e.g. Mr Price Foundation and SAB Foundation).
Voices Unite aims to unify the voices of young people around South Africa through the largest-ever research study focusing on important issues that impact young people. The platform explores in detail the state of tertiary education, funding, job readiness and skills development, as well as the views of students on various other important topics.
Students who participate on the platform will be able to win various prizes, like internships, training, bursaries, cash and much more.
