Duties include


  • Over the counter sales of all inventory items,
  • Quoting on enquiries received via all the inbound channels – telephonic, Email and website,
  • Receiving and concluding orders from account customers
  • Arranging and supervising deliveries,
  • Selling and organising call-outs as required,
  • Daily stock control and inventory balancing,
  • Payment control inclusive of daily cash up,
  • General admin inclusive of filing, scanning and record-keeping
  • Responsible for:
    • In House Sales
      • Cash sales
      • Account sales
      • Fleet transactions
      • Pricing transactions according to prescribed price lists and delegated authority
      • invoicing
      • quotes, both verbal and system-generated according to prescribed price lists and delegated authority
      • Payment: control of both cash and cards
      • Fitting batteries in need
      • Customer service visits
      • Soliciting new business when required
      • Callouts
        • Selling and arranging call outs
        • Inter Battery Centre transactions
          • Outbound
            • Arrange transactions with appropriate Battery Centre
            • Follow up on PODs
            • Invoicing
    • Inbound
      • Receive details from requiring Battery Centre
      • Arranging fitment or delivery in accordance with requirements
      • Complete transaction detail and send copies to both requiring Battery Centre and FNB
      • FNB Transactions
        • Taking orders
        • Allocating stock
        • Completion of PODs
        • Scanning and forwarding PODs to FNB
        • Handling queries
        • Deliveries
          • controlling deliveries including timing, routing etc
          • supervision of drivers and fitters
          • Stock management
            • Daily stock control and inventory balancing
            • Ordering of stock including collections
            • Scrap management
            • Warranties
              • Adjudication of all warranty claims
              • Completion of all administration of claims
              • Liaison with Aston Manor branch
              • Stock
              • Warranties
              • Stand-in for Operations Manager as required

Requirements

  • Matric – Maths, English.
  • Competent in English
  • At least 2 years experience within the automotive industry ideally in spares
  • Basic knowledge of the workings of cars and trucks
  • Basic computer skills – E mail, Word, Excel
  • Must be familiar with operating POS systems
  • Own transport to and from work
  • Must be organised and pay attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and selling skills
  • Work 3 x Saturdays, 1 off
